Acutis celebrates medical laboratory professionals week 2021

Acutis Diagnostics excitedly celebrated ASCP’s Medical Laboratory Professionals Week from April 18th-24th, 2021.

Lab Week, an annual event that has become a team Acutis favorite, is a celebration of medical laboratory professionals who play a vital role in healthcare and patient advocacy. Fittingly, this year’s Lab Week theme was “Avengers of the Laboratory.” Following a particularly challenging year for laboratory and other healthcare professionals around the globe, a commemoration of the hard work accomplished was welcome by all.

Lab Week planning was conducted by the Acutis Social Responsibility Response Committee (SRRC) and included daily themes, meals, and interactive activities that concluded with a Team BBQ at our Hicksville headquarters. From Acutis Jeopardy to a “Lab Olympics” relay race to an outdoor Water Pong Tournament, exciting events allowed staff to team build and socialize while still maintaining COVID-19 safety standards through precautionary procedures. Remote teams were also able to participate from afar through multiple remote group-specific events, including a week-long virtual scavenger hunt and themed dress-up competitions.
